Biden's new H1B visa Plan to benefit thousands of professionals

Every year tech companies appoint IT professionals in the US through H1B visas. It has the highest demand for Indian young professionals.

With the change of power in the United States, the hopes of people dreaming of jobs or permanent citizenship have also increased. Thousands of Indians will also benefit from president-elect Joe Biden's (Joe Biden) H1B (H1B) visa and green card (Green Card) scheme. Every year, 70% of h1b visas have been accounted for by Indians.

Biden, along with Indian-origin Kamala Harris, is expected to end the ban on the work permits of the spouses of H1B visa holders during the Trump administration. Biden plans to increase the quota of high-skilled visas, including H1B (H-1B). Biden can also eliminate the quota slated for every country in such visas. The curbs imposed on immigrants during the Trump administration have adversely affected Indian talent.

U.S. President Donald Trump (Donald Trump) had banned the work permits of spouses of H1B visa holders. This had an impact on thousands of Indian professionals. Biden can come up with a comprehensive plan on immigration reforms or decide on it one by one. Documents related to Biden's election promises give a glimpse of this. According to the documents, temporary visas of high skill should not be used for employees already in the U.S. to complete such jobs. We need an immigration system in which high-skill professionals get priority, but it doesn't harm American innovation and competition.

According to the documents, Biden will work with the U.S. Parliament (Congress) on improving temporary visa programs. It will be based on demand from the labour market but will not be used to reduce job salaries. Biden is supportive of increasing high skill visas and scrapping a system of setting quotas for a country, as this increases the burden of unnecessary applications. Under h-1B visas, local and foreign companies working in the Us temporarily hire high-skilled professionals in IT and other fields. Their salary is often much lower than the appointment of an American for the same job.
